Guardian Hose Company
The volunteer fire department, organized in 1887, provides fire and rescue services in a 50 square mile rural area. Includes equipment descriptions, officers, history and photographs, fund raising projects and training information.

Thurmont Conservation and Sportsman'sClub (TCSC)
The club is located at the confluence of the Monocacy River and Hunting Creek, providing members access to both streams where it is possible to catch trout, small mouth bass, catfish, carp and other warm water species.
